A Nightmare Before Christmas

Posted: 11/14/04 at 12:03amWouldn't this make a spectacular musical? I'm currently listening to the cast recording....whoops, I mean the soundtrack. I can see this transferring easily to the stage.

I believe that there actually was a stage version of it in the works, but don't quote me on that
I'd LOVE to see this be a full length musical
It's one of my favorite Disney movies

It's not a Disney movie.
And I think it would make a fantastic broadway show, but maybe a little too season-specific and might have a hard time getting people to go see it in the dead of summer.

In CA, the haunted mansion at Disneyland is decked out in Nb4Xmas animatronics
I'm positive it's a Disney movie

Posted: 11/14/04 at 12:16amThat's really really weird - I have the DVD and it doesn't say DISNEY anywhere on it. It says touchstone pictures, which has nothing to do with Disney.

YES. I was watching the movie last week, and was actually thinking, "SH*T, this would be an awesome stage show!"
And, yeah, it is a Disney film. I remember it being previews before other Disney releases whenever it came out (also a level on their Kingdom Hearts PS2 game).

"Disney owns Touchstone, I believe."
Disney's movie studios include Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Buena Vista, Hollywood Pictures, Dimension Films, and Miramax.

I've wanted The Nightmare Before Christmas to be put on stage for sooooo long. I'd see it any time of the year if it happens!

I watched the movie recently, and thought the exact same thing. The score would have to expanded, obviously, but itd be great.
I think this may very well be a first. Everyone so far has agreed on something like this! lol

Now I feel compelled to go out and buy the movie...or at least the score.
Why must Disney insist adapting on the Little Mermaid, when they have this?

I dont know if he can act, but that can be fixed in one of two ways:
1) Robotic Oogey
2) Costume - you wouldnt see him anyway, so make it someone else and a voiceover
