Let's not mourn the closing of the grand revival of Lenny and Betty and Adolph's On the Town.
Let's have A PARTY WITH COMDEN AND GREEN!
Betty Comden is an inspiration to female theatre writers everywhere. She's penned some of my favorite stuff on stage. I included an Easter egg nod to her (along with Jeanine Tesori and Dorothy Fields) in one of my own pieces.
Lord rest both their souls!
Here's a nice compilation...see if you can name everyone?? Who is singing with Patti Lupone?

The closing night of OTT makes you realize again, how great C&G, Styne,....unbelievable catalog of songs.
(Nancy Walker in Do-Re-Mi! ) lots of little gems to re-discover. I didn't even know that was Donna Murphy in Wonderful Town. She looks and sounds great in that role..
Here are two incredibly entertaining and original numbers from The Will Rogers Follies, Coleman, Comden and Green.
Ensemble, Ziegfeld girls, Cady Huffman and Keith Carradine. I love the tambourine hats! and the huge rainbow set too.
Willamania and Our Favorite Son...someone should have done an updated revival of this for election year.
