I don't know if it's the best of CHICAGO theater if half the list are national tours. Are you telling me that nothing from Hypocites, Next, American Theater Company, House Theater, Profiles, etc is not something to look forward to in 2012?

I do think it's rather odd to state something as "The Best" that hasn't even opened. Especially the local stuff that hasn't actually played anywhere in these particular productions. What was the criteria for cherry-picking these particular shows?

I am so glad- I thought I was just being a cranky old man when these same thoughts ran through my mind. And, the "Best of 2011" referred to "Ronnie" Reed, which almost made me cry. (The actress's name is Rondi Reed)
