I just ran accross the score to Bernstein's supposed flop "A Quiet Place" I found a song (a duet actually) within the score that I found interesting. However there is no title and no real cast recording (at least that I can find) the only one i've been able to track down is on amazon for 50 bucks. Can someone help me find the title to this song, or a recording???
The song is between Francois and Didi.
Lyrics "Didi,I want you. Have I ever said that before? I guess I have. But now today, it's been all day, it's been the needing, the needing of this day. Nous sommes absous; tous est pardon ne Didi et nous somme seliveres. Didi i see youannd you arfe new to me how to say what you are to me?..."

It's an opera. The original (and so far only) recording is available through arkivmusic. These are CD-Rs.

Not that this will help you, but City Opera is staging the New York premiere in October.

The original production was much maligned but if you take a look at the actual reviews the criticism was more aimed at Bernstein as a person rather than the piece itself, which was far ahead of its time. The music is amazing (take a listen to the first Aria "You're Late" it's an emotional rollercoaster with brilliant musical writing)
