A Raisin in the Sun 2004 vs 2014 revivals

Kenny Leon directed both the 2004 and 2014 Broadway revivals of A Raisin in the Sun. I'm just looking back at articles, interviews, and awards coverage surrounding the 2014 production, and no one talks about how Leon directed both stagings. I didn't see either one - was the 2014 production a revival of the 2004 staging or were they completely different? I see that the 2004 production was nominated for the Best Revival Tony, and the 2014 won the award. Leon won the Best Director Tony in 2014, and wasn't nominated in 2004. His Ruth in both productions - Audra McDonald and Sophie Okonedo - won Tonys for both years. I'm intrigued by the parallels. I know the Tonys have rules that directors/productions/actors can't be nominated again for the same show/performance - so was the 2014 production considered a different production, that just happened to be directed by the same director who staged the earlier revival?
