"A Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy" World Premiere

This World Premiere musical is being presented at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia the next two weekends.

A Rock ‘N Roll Fantasy
The School of Theater Arts and the School of Music present A Rock 'n Roll Fantasy: The Music of Ray Davies and The Kinks. For over 30 years Ray Davies and The Kinks filled the rock and roll songbook with titles that stylistically range from straight ahead rock to ragtime to reggae and many more in between. The rich catalogue of Ray Davies, who also composed four musicals, seemingly begs dramatic realization in songs such as You Really Got Me, Lola, Dedicated Follower of Fashion and Come Dancing. This original, storyline driven musical revue resulted from a year-long collaboration with the School of Music. Sanctioned by the composer and conceived and directed by Gene Terruso A Rock 'n Roll Fantasy will be an innovative and exciting cap to our 2005/2006 Season. Admission is free to the UArts community with ID, $16 for the general public, $8 for seniors and students with ID and can be purchased from the S.O.T.A. box office at 215.545.1664.
