From today's Tribune:
"Add the classic Dickensian epic "A Tale of Two Cities" to the growing list of Broadway shows choosing to try out in Chicago.
According to an announcement made by producers Barbra Russell, Ron Sharpe and Ron Phelps in New York, this new $14 million musical (with book, music and lyrics by relative newcomer Jill Santoriello) will have its world premiere at the Chicago Theatre, 175 N. State St., with performances beginning on Jan. 31. The official opening of what appears to be an exceptionally large production is slated for Feb. 9.
Chicago-based director David H. Bell will be at the helm.
A Broadway engagement will follow at the end of April at a theater to be announced."
Has anyone heard anything about this? Or has anyone heard of any of these people?
Well what do you want to know Joe? I'll be in Chicago for it, though I don't know if I will be seeing it opening night or not yet. If you have any questions, I'm the one to ask.
I've been following the show for a year and a half now.
