"Acorn antiques the musical" is the first to show to have £65 top price tickets beating the £55 charged by "We will Rock You" for Weekend performances. As of today with the dollar / pound exchange rate of $1.93 to the £1 this means about half of the seats will be be the eqivalent of $125 at the weekend. I know this nothing compared to The Producers premium seats but it is a lot to me !!!

Acord Antiques is based on the sitcom spoof written by Victoria Wood in the 1980's as part of her television series. They are using the original cast of Julie Walters (hurrah !!), Victoria Wood, Celia Imrie etc for the roles.. This is real cult viewing which is why they will sell out even at record prices.

Weekend Pricing

Friday & Saturday evenings, Saturday matinee
Stalls & Royal Circle £65.00
Upper Circle £47.50, £37.50*
Gallery £27.50
* Restricted or Limited View Seating"

Are they still offering concs? Looks like I'll be hitting the 1/2 price line in Leceister Square.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Great. I enjoy how I am going to be living in London when the dollar is its weakest and theatre tickets are their highest.

I do believe I am going to have to harass the West End board for all the UK rush policies.

I recently ordered a ticket for Mary Poppins for March. Can't remember exactly what the price was in GBP, but when I saw my credit card bill the other day, the dollar equivalent was about $5.00 short of the price I paid to see The Boy From Oz. Talk about sticker shock! The exchange rate's gonna kill me at this rate...
