AADA (American Academy of Dramatic Arts) is a very fine institution with a distinguished roster of alumni, including among others, Spencer Tracy, Lauren Bacall, Robert Redford and many many others (as recent as 2003 Academy Award winner Adrien Brody). You mention AMDA, and AMDA's name, I'm sure, was deliberately created to foster confusion with AADA. At any rate, here is the website fo AADA, where you can read more about them.

I went to AADA. I went from Feb-Summer and left before exam plays because it wasn't quite what I wanted. I was the youngest one there and decided to go to the neighborhood playhouse instead. It isn't a waste of money... the teaching is good DEPENDING on who you get as a teacher... I do have to say the singing teacher for 1st semester was a real dick and told my entire class we had no talent and didn't stand a chance... Updated On: 12/14/03 at 08:10 PM

I was just wondering if anybody else had any first or second hand experiences at AADA that they'd like to share..
