re: AIDA @ Fullerton Civic Light Opera

The gentleman who directed the Zachary Theater production in Austin Texas and the Gateway Theater production on Long Island, also cut the Elaborate Lives reprise, reportedly because he thought Aida and Radames were taking too long to die. Huh?

I agree with most folks that that is a mistake because the EL reprise is one of the emotional highlights of the show.

Has anyone who has seen the show talked to Kelli? What's she been up to?

re: AIDA @ Fullerton Civic Light Opera

Hi,

I'm going to see the show on the 28th and i am very excited ( I haven't seen it since i was in NY) and I've never been to a Fullerton production we usually get season tickets to Musical Theater West so i thought i would venture out to Fullerton for the first time. One of my co-workers went last Friday and she said the show was great.. She did mention that the Radames was a little country ( i'm definitely now going to look for a twang) also she said the ensemble was really good and that one of the girls who sings with Aida during the "Gods love Nubia" has a really good voice.

I never heard of this Amneris but what i've been reading from this board i can't wait to hear her. I will love to tell all about it on saturday.

I hope i get a good show~!
