Amneris -
sweetie, thank you so much for being nice and making me feel better =)
I've been rejected by pretty much everyone and everything I can be rejected from, and your right, its a major part of The Biz even tho its the worst part and I hate it =) im trying to get a thicker skin, but I just try to take your advice and tell myself that dammit, I CAN sing (or so people tell me lol) and just because I don't get certain rolws in musicals doesnt mean i don't have talent...
Um, wow sorry for changing the subject here, I just feel so much better now! =D Thanks again sweetie!!

Posted: 12/15/03 at 1:52pmIt's not a problem to have said that..it's the truth. You can't let people get you down but, what you can do is take their rejection and only be stronger. It helps.

well, as far as good musical theatre schools go, new york is a hub for talent, but i currently am a junior at OCU(oklahoma city university). I study with Florence Birdwell, teacher of both Kristen Chenoweth and Kelli O'Harra,(amongst many others) and i like it quite a bit. We have so many opportunities to practice our craft here. we do 3 musicals and 3 operas a year, not to mention all of the big auditioners who come here to find actors and dancers.(Music Theatre Wichita, Oklahoma Lyric, just to name a couple) The training is solid all the way around and i am proud to be a student here. If you're looking for schools i'd definately say check ocu out.
if you have any questions just pm me. i'll be glad to answer anything i can.
will
