Just saw the album was number 2 on iTunes. Very impressive, I think. . . I am not a big downloader of popular music, and have used ITunes only once. Do many show albums get that kind of download activity?
Show albums almost never end up in the top ten, let alone in the top 3. It's good that it has the crossover for people to buy the album, and hopefully it will get people to go see the show. I'm really interested in seeing it; the cast is so talented.

Few cast albums crack the Top 50, much less the top 100.
The Green Day connection doesn't hurt...like the show itself, it's undoubtedly attracting a wider and/or more diverse audience than your average show.

Didn't want to make a new thread, anybody know why Good Riddance isn't included on the cast recording? They even list it in the booklet as Josh Henry and Gerard on guitar during that song, but it's not on the album. Clearly a typo but a disappointing on.
They recorded the cast album months before it started previews were Good Riddance was added midway through.

Nope, Good Riddance was done at Berkeley, actually.

i think it was tried in Berkeley, but no definitive decision was made to include it until after the cast album had been recorded
YAY! I'm so happy hearing this. I love this cast recording to no end.
