Just out of curiosity. Has there been any talk about recording the Roundabout's revival of THE APPLE TREE? I know productions are different. Some announce the recording even before the show opens and some wait until the reviews come out. Plus, it all depends on if there are people willing to back the album.
I figured Roundabout records most of their musicals up until THREEPENNY. Why they didn't record that still boggles my mind with so many recording artists featured in the production one would think it would be a decent seller.
I know Chenoweth guarantees no huge album sales but she does have a following and this is a classic Bock/Harnick score that has only been captured once.
"I've got to get me out of here
This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."
