I was looking up tickets for ASU for the balcony seats on ticketmaster.com & it says $39. Does anybody know how long this is in effect for since they were only $19 like last week?
As of last week Tuesday. Rows A-F or the balcony are $39.99, Rows G-H are still $19.55. What a rip-off. Why pay $40 to be 3 levels up when you can pay $50 to be in the orchestra. I'm really hoping that this price change is only in effect for the summer, but the woman at the box office didn't think that was the case.
'All Shook Up' has been anything but a 'ripoff.' It's been offering its balcony for $19.55 for months, easily one of the best bargains on Broadway. Is there any other theater with a deal like that? I can only imagine that 'All Shook Up' is trying to encourage more folks to buy orchestra seats (if you can get them for $50) and understandably trying to raise its average ticket price (which is in the $47-$50 range). I'll bet the $19.55 balcony seats bring down the average. It's not even abolishing $19.55, since the last 2 rows will still sell for that. I wouldn't blame 'ASU' for trying to make some money.
