AUGUST Rush on a Sunday? (and LGA to midtown)

I want to condense two questions I have to one thread, but if I have to post my LGA-to-Midtown question in the off-topic board, I'll have to do that...)

1) At what time should I arrive to the box office for rush tickets to AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY on Sunday?

2) What is the cheapest way to get to Midtown Manhattan from the LGA airport? I'll only have one bag so luggage is not an issue.

Thanks, BWW. You're always there to help!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

fyi I was told by the August box office two weekends ago that they no longer sell rush tix on the weekend, but they have the rear mezz tix at the same price, and that was in fact my experience when I actually went to the show last weekend- I was the first person there (of three) when the box office opened at 10am, and there was no rush for either matinee or evening, but they had rear mezz tix avail.

I feel like such a tourist and I've been to the city too many times to not know this, but what is the "N/R?"

No more rush on weekends? That's a shame. Did you sit in the Rear Mess, Anakela? How was it?

The N/R are two subway lines that both stop at the Astoria station in Queens. The M60 bus from LGA will take you right to that station. It is easy and free and just in case you're worried there will not be crackheads trying to kill you (with tourists you never know!!)

The N/R goes into midtown Manhattan and and stop on 59th st, and at 49th and Broadway (right by the O'Neill (spring awakening) and Ambassador (Chicago) Theaters. And of course the next stop is good old Times Square.

Oops, it's actually the N or the W train. If you're going to the Imperial, get off at either 49th or Times Square.

Thanks, everyone. I can get to Times Square for $2? Genius. It costs me $7 to get into midtown from JFK.

Capn, FYI, depending on the time of day, it's probably a 20 minute bus ride, and then another 20-25 waiting for the subway, taking the train in.

Thanks. :) I'm coming in Sat at 8:30AM for a 2:30PM show, so I'm not worried.

One thing to add. If you don't already have a MetroCard, make sure you have $2 in coins, and don't forget to ask for a transfer! (if you're going to transfer at Astoria.

That's such a shame that they don't offer rush tickets anymore. The rush tickets I've gotten were front row rear-mezz so they were great. It is by far without a doubt the best play on Broadway right now. Enjoy, CapnHook dude.
