Abigail's Party or Rabbit Hole?

I have an extra slot to fill in during a weekend in NYC... i am trying to choose between these two shows..there is a possibility i might be able to catch the other at alater date...but if i had to see just one, which one? any background info,etc is appreciated.

I say Rabbit Hole. Cynthia Nixon is great on stage.

You might have to choose RABBIT HOLE by default, since ABIGAIL'S PARTY is currently sold out through the end of January.

well, it looked like a couple tickets were available .... MEF, does that change your opinion? what do you know about either one?

I'd definitly choose RABBIT HOLE...u miss that one and you'll be angry at yourslef for a very long time to come. Im telling you...that script is brilliant - and I cant WAIT to see what that cast does with it.

yeah thats what I am thinnking ...my interest in Abigail's Party is based more on how well its done and the buzz around it, whereas my interest in Rabbit Hole is based on what I have heard about the plot,the buzz and the cast.

I haven't seen RABBIT HOLE (obviously), but it looks very intriguing to me. I have seen ABIGAIL'S PARTY, and it is superb. Jennifer Jason Leigh is brilliant.

I really liked Abigail's party, but by the end I felt as if something was missing for me. I wanted just one moment where we saw Jennifer Jason Leigh crack a tiny bit. I wanted to see what was going on under all the bluster and vitriol. That said, she was wonderfully funny, and the rest of the cast was amazing, especially Lisa Emery.

Just got my tickets to Rabbit Hole. I can not WAIT to see this show. I've heard amazing things about it (mostly on this site) from people who saw readings of the play or have read the script. I hope it lives up to the hype. Fingers crossed...
