Abraham, Garner, Channing, Hutton coming to Lyric

F. Murray Abraham will play Scrooge in a production of "A Christmas Carol" at the Lyric Opera House Dec 22-29. Also starring are James Garner (Dickens/narrator), Stockard Channing (Xmas Past), Timothy Hutton (Cratchit), Wayne Knight (Xmas Present) and George Wendt (various roles). What a cast! The production also plays Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Mpls.

^ I feel like I read it on here a few weeks ago...I know I've heard about this before though. Which is obviously not official confirmation lol anyway. I'd like to see it but I'd also really like to go back to the Goodman. The ghost of Christmas Future scared the pants off me last year. lol

http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/1824954,christmas-carol-hutton-channing-101409.article mentions how two stars left the production (or who never were part of it in the first place!).

http://www.twincities.com/entertainment/ci_13656035 mentions the trouble in Minneapolis.

Anyone hear anything of late if this is still going to happen in Chicago? I don't see it listed on the calendar section of the Lyric's site, and I don't see tickets for sale anywhere...but are they?

This sure sounds like a disaster...too bad, too, as it had such great names attached to it!
