Abraham, Garner, Channing, Hutton to the Lyric

Terrific cast lined up for the Lyric's production of "A Christmas Carol" Dec 8-13. F. Murray Abraham as Scrooge, James Garner as Dickens narrating his story (live on stage for parts of the show...recorded for others), Timothy Hutton as Cratchit, Stockard Channing as Xmas Past, Wayne Knight as Xmas Present and George Wendt in various roles. The prices are reasonable too with top prices at 57.50 up to 67.50 depending on the day. Even saw a 17.50 balcony ticket for a Tuesday night performance. Kids are half-price for all shows. Abraham was terrific as Scrooge in the Madison Square Garden version a few years back. For anyone who saw that production in NY with Tony Walton's set, the word is that MSG threw away the entire set recently rather than store it on 21 semi trailers. What a waste!
