Across the Universe coming to Broadway?

"As of last week, it was happening! If we went straight to Broadway, it could’ve happened 10 years ago, but we want to create it in a different kind of theater. I did have a good meeting last week. I’m not going to say with who because I don’t want to jinx it... I’ve wanted it for so many years. Hopefully in the next two years, we finally get to see Across the Universe onstage."

Do you think this could actually turn our happening? There were parts of the movie that I loved (and parts I didn't), but does Taymor still have enough cred to get this off the ground?

I do. I think they trust her with the material. I feel she still has it. With the right production team, it will be incredible. While M. Butterfly and Spiderman may not have been the most successful ventures, you have to look at things like her production of Midsummer. The lady still has it.
