Actor's Fund Benefit at Lillian Booth Actors Home

"THE FRIENDS OF THE LILLIAN BOOTH ACTORS HOME"

I am very much interested in this event held by the Actor's Fund. I am not from NYC, I live in PA and was wondering if I would commit $500 to this event would I get even close to my money's worth. I have been to many Actor Fund benefits in the past years. I am thinking about purchasing one ticket for my Birthday present. I know it can not be easily answered so here are some more general questions.

1. The Honorary Host Committee, will they be attending? Or are they just contributors to the Actors Fund that their names will be on the program?

2. Since I don't know anyone there (personally) will I end up walking around at the event without being able to talk to anyone?

3. Is this kind of event even for someone like the average joe?

4. Is it even worth thinking about going to?

I know no one has a crystal ball and I know money that goes to a charitable organization is a good cause in itself, but what are your thoughts to an event like this?
