re: Actors/Actresses with multiple Tony noms- and no wins.

Yep, Atkins has been nominated 4 times, zero wins.

P.S. I know that this isn't an actor or actress but costume designer Jane Greenwood(nominated this year for he work on Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf?) has been nominated 15 times with ZERO wins. This has got to be some kind of record. I really hope the streak finally ends this year.

Past non-winning multiple nominees nominated again this year:

Željko Ivanek - 3rd nomination this year
1983, Best Featured Actor in a Play, Brighton Beach Memoirs
1992, Best Featured Actor in a Play, Two Shakespearean Actors
2006, Best Leading Actor in a Play, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial

Kate Burton - 3rd nomination this year
2002, Best Featured Actress in a Play, The Elephant Man
2002, Best Leading Actress in a Play, Hedda Gabler
2006, Best Leading Actress in a Play, The Constant Wife

Lynn Redgrave - 3rd nomination this year
1976, Best Leading Actress in a Play, Mrs. Warren's Profession
1993, Best Leading Actress in a Play, Shakespeare for My Father
2006, Best Leading Actress in a Play, The Constant Wife

Zoë Wanamaker - 4th nomination this year
1981, Best Featured Actress in a Play, Piaf
1986, Best Featured Actress in a Play, Loot
1999, Best Leading Actress in a Play, Electra
2006, Best Featured Actress in a Play, Awake and Sing!

This is Ms. Wanamaker's 4th Broadway credit. She has been nominated for every appearance she has made on Broadway, but has yet to win. In addition, she has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award for each of those years as well, losing every time, except this year--she finally won.

"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."
