What are everyone's thoughts on actors becoming successful producers and putting themselves in their shows?

if they are talented, the i say go for it. if not, then their show probably won't do well anyway.

Sandra Bullock and Drew Barrymore do it and it's probably the SMARTEST business choice to make... $$$$$$ I had NO idea until recently that Sandra was producer of the george lopez show.. she sometimes has stints on it as well.

Yes, producing your own television/film projects can be a smart idea.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are billionaires because they are executive producers of all of their productions, for example.

lol. it works for some actors so yea, i agree that if they are talented in that area, then i have no objections.
