Adam Guettel concert, PLEASE?!

I know he's a very busy man but this must happen! I've been listening to nothing but Myths & Hymns, Floyd Collins, and Piazza for the past couple weeks and it would blow my mind to hear him sing these songs in concert. I couldn't make it to David Yazbek's gig at Feinstein's but I'd drop everything to go to this if someone could make it happen.

Betty...if that ever occured, I have a feeling you and I wouldn't be able to attend for fear that we would overtake the stage LOL. Just kidding, I am sure we could keep ourselves in check....

Yeah, I heard a rumor that Guettel has pictures of Betty up at Box Offices similar to those of Mary Pierce's father at WTA events.

I saw him do a show at Town Hall several years back after the Myths and Hymns CD was released. He had a lot of his friends performing - Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth, Jason Danieley, Billy Porter, and the amazing Jubilant Sykes - and they did songs from Floyd Colins and Myths and Hymns as well as other novelty type songs. Adam did quite a bit of the performing himself - singing and playing guitar and piano. But as he himself pointed out, he isn't that comfortable as a performer on stage so he seemed happier to let the others do their stuff.

That Town Hall concert was BRILLIANT! Too bad it wasn't recorded - it should have been. He also sang at the Great American Songbook Concert at Alice Tully Hall devoted to his grandfather...produced by Jonathan Schwartz and with lots of guest artists - but Adam stole the show!
