Addams Family Rush Question

My friend and I have been trying SO hard to get into Addams. We were going to buy the seats all the way up for 51.50 but there never seems to be any seats. So we're going to try rush.
What I was wondering is:
When should I get to the theatre?
Is it crowded usually?
How good/bad are the rush seats?
Will they take a high school ID, I know some shows are college only (my friend has yet to receive her college one)?
And it's one per id, right?

Posted: 7/2/10 at 1:50pmIt's never really that crowded, I've tried 5 or 6 times. Every time, they've told me there aren't any available though, so all I can do is wish you luck :)

Posted: 7/2/10 at 1:51pmI don't think they are that hard to get. People start lining up about an hour before. But it's only one per ID and college Id's only.

Oh hot damn. That's not awesome =[
Is it an hour before box office opens, or hour before the show goes up?

Student rush tickets go on sale two hours before curtain, I assume the poster meant that people start lining up about an hour before that?
If you don't mind standing through the show (and you're taller than 5'1") I'd recommend trying for SRO. They sell them any time the show is sold out (which is pretty much every day), and I think the view from SRO is better than the rear mezz. SRO goes on sale at whatever point the show sells out, so if they're not selling them in the morning, check back later in the day.

I went tonight because I was in the area and figured I'd see if they had rush tickets available. I know they usually only do rush Tues-Thurs but the guy at the box office said he had just found out that tonight (Friday) they were doing it. I got there at 5pm and I got seats in the rear orchestra which were awesome. Most of the seats in the three rows in front of me and behind me were empty too which I found surprising, especially for a Friday night show.

Oh man! Okay so maybe my friend and I should do that one day.
Also does anyone know if Nathan and Bebe are out? My friend is pretty much a theatre jinx but if I don't go without her, I'll be struck and killed.

Posted: 8/31/10 at 5:32pmHow's rush been going lately? Since it hasn't been selling out, I wonder how safe it is to make a trek on a weekday night now. Thanks.

Posted: 8/31/10 at 6:49pmMy kids went into the city today to rush this show. They are in high school & the box office person would not sell them rush tickets- really disappointing. Where does it say college ID only on the website??
