We heard about a "Spider-man" musical for a while now. Finally, some more news.
My friend said to expect an announcement tomorrow about the workshop. They've already got a "Spiderman" and Mary Jane and Green Goblin. He says they are going to do a bunch of flying concept try-outs and show off a few songs. The composers and writers will be announced around Halloween.
I swear, this is my final April Fool's joke (even though this is only my second).

What exactly is a workshop? I'm sorry that I don't know this.

A workshop is when they get together, rehearse the show (or as much of it as is ready), for a week or two and then do a performance (or a staged reading with scripts and music in hand) for a smaal group of friends, producers, people "inside the business", etc. There are no sets or costumes. From the response to the workshop, a decision may be made as to whether the show will receive a full production.
