Strange. This must be a newer development.
Originally, the University of Michigan was granted the chance to present the first production thanks to UMich alum Jefferey Seller; the original producer of RENT.
Either way... Good luck to all those involved!
Jonathan Larson was an alumni of Adelphi, so this makes sense.
I go to Adelphi and last night eavesdropped on a rehearsal. Sounds good. I think this is the best show to put on in our new performing arts building. Everyone come see it!!!!

according to my friend who's the assistant musical director, it's already sold out and they can't add any more shows :[

Aw, how appropriate!
That is great.
It's sold out except for one Saturday night which they are charging $250 a ticket and you get to go to a reception and meet the Larson family along with one or more original cast members.

Are tickets going to become available as the date gets closer? How are they all sold out? Are they going to be doing Rush or lottery since well it is RENT?
Any WAY of getting into a regular show
If I can't get tickets to the closing on Broadway I guess this will have to do.
I will offer $45 each

Coolkid, think logically for once.
Why would a college theater production do a lottery for tickets when they're all sold out except for 1 performance?
For the record, there are a number of tickets left for the Friday morning at 11 performance. That's the one I got.

they're all sold out except for the one date where you can get a ticket for $250 like Just_John said.
and they're not doing a lottery, it's community theatre.

Too bad, so sad.
The University of Michigan is still doing this show, however they are doing it a month and a half later.
