I'm auditioning for a few transfer schools this year and I was wondering...

My ballads:
'It Took Me a While' from JOHN & JEN
'It's Hard To Speak My Heart' from PARADE
'Beign Alive' from COMPANY.

If anyone can suggest some uptempos, it would be doing me an enormous favor.

Thanks a bunch and best wishes.

Who Taught Her Everything She Knows from Funny Girl
Late Late Show from Do Re Mi (only if you are a good character actor)
Sitting Pretty (Money Song) from Cabaret
I Can Do That from A Chorus Line

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

"She Loves Me" from the show of the same name. It has a bit of range, shows you can handle "talky" lyrics, and that you can sustain a fairly long note.

"Something's Coming" from WEST SIDE STORY. Another wordy song with range.

Thanks. I've done 'She Loves Me' in the past but, silly me, didn't actually consider using it.

Can't use 'I Can Do That.' I'm not a dancer.

There's a great song by Goldrich and Heisler, called "That's All." It's hilarious. It starts out as...

What do I want in a woman?
Platinum hair and smart and funny
disposition's sweet and sunny
goes to yoga comes from money
that's all
28 looks seventeen
5 foot 10 and tan and lean
and loves to cook and camp and clean
that's all

Can't remember the exact rest of it right now, but it's great.

I love that song. But erm, is the sheet music available?

I don't know if you can get it other than buying the whole songbook. I have the sheet music to that song, maybe I could figure out a way to send it to ya.
