Aerial Choreography -- how it's done!

For those of you who do not know, the AMERICAN THEATRE WING produces many series dedicated to the education of theatrical production. Their podcasts include audio and video interviews and features with our industry's playwrights, actors, directors, designers, composers, choreographers, producers, casting directors, publicity/PR firms...literally every aspect of theatre -- including the critics! These series are called Downstage Center, Working in the Theatre, Masters of the Stage, This is Broadway, and In the Wings.

All of these fantastic resources are available to view on the Wing's website and also available to download FOR FREE on iTunes (click on iTunes U).

The latest segment of In The Wings featured my buddy Paul who is an aerial choreographer. Check it out -- I think you'll find it interesting. :)

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
