As I was looking through the pictures of the new Elphaba and others from the festival, I saw the picture of Julie Hanson (I think that's her name) from Phantom of the Opera. She looked like she was 22! How old are actress who play Christine usually? I always thought they would be late 20s and early 30s. I ask because it is one of my dream roles and am afriad my time is running out if the women playing her are my age!

20s-30s is what's listed in the equity breakdown. Apparently, I looked too young, and I'm 25. You should be ok if you're on the younger looking side until around 35, I'd say.

They like someone older to be on Broadway because (according to ALW) it would be impossible for someone so young to sing that part every night. But I would think 25 is okay so I don't really know...
