Aida and the Spice Girls?

Yeah I did a search and couldn't find anything. Bah. So I was in Borders yesterday, and while I was in the "soundtrack" section, I noticed that the Aida CD looked strange. I looked at the back, and noticed that this was no ordinary CD--it was covers of the songs from Aida sung by pop artists, such as Shania Twain and My Strongest Suit performed by the SPICE GIRLS. Does anyone own this CD? Where the frick was I when it came out?

It's the concept album, and it scares me.

Concept, yes.

re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

I've heard four of the songs from it... "Another Pyramid" by Sting and "Not Me" by Boyz II Men aren't that bad.
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

My library has it, and I've listened to it a few times. It's not THAT bad.

I don't know about the album, but I definitely have the Spice Girls singing "My Strongest Suit" on my iPod. Haha. What can I say? I was a fan of theirs back in the day. re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

I'm not usually a big fan of Elton John's singing, but I love the version of "A Step Too Far" he does with Heather Headley and Sherie Rene Scott on the concept album.

Yes, I saw that in Barnes and Noble too, and I was shocked to see the Spice Girls singing My Strongest Suit.
And then, do you know Monseiur Marius, I believe I was a little in love with you.

re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

I had no idea that this album existed. I downloaded some of the songs tonight. I liked Elton John and Janet Jackson singing I Know The Truth. I thought The Spice Girls singing My Strongest Suit was awful.

re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

That was my first taste of Aida because I was a BIG Spice Girls fan. It wasn't that bad.

re: Aida and the Spice Girls?

I have the concept album and the OBC. Although I wouldn't consider the concept album all that good, it does have some good points, like Tina Turner singing Easy as Life (except for the beginning of the song, that sounds awful)and the Spice Girls singing Strongest Suit (At least I thought they sounded good on that song).
