So this new production of "Aladdin" going to the 5th Ave theater... Does this have anything to do with Disney on Broadway?? Like if it is successful enough, will it eventually be in New York?? Sorry If this is a dumb question I should probably know the answer too haha :)

I believe it's meant to be a flagship production. Really no Broadway aspirations mainly to drum up interests for regional productions & tours. Like HSM Live.

What I've heard from this show is disappointing. Why are the Disney animated movies often more mature than their staged versions? Where is Howard Ashman when you need him? Don't answer that- I know- and it's a huge loss for musical theatre.
