Alan Cumming in THE BACCHAE

No, I didn't see it, but I'm DYING to hear details / impressions / reviews / whatever from anyone who did

Maybe this can be the place to post them?

I won't be able to get up to see it, and I'm starting to feel like I'm missing something very different

Please post whatever you like here if you see this one

Thanks in advance!

re: Alan Cumming in THE BACCHAE

I saw it in London last September. I thought it was fabulous! I seem to remember not everyone liked it, but I can't recall any of the criticisms right now. Don't sit too near the front; you'll get your eyebrows singed off, and you'll go blind. I loved it, and would love to see it again. Or at least get a CD released! I liked the music very much. ^_^

re: Alan Cumming in THE BACCHAE

I absolutely love Alan Cumming.

but... does anyone think that his picture for the add looks a little Bebe Neuwirth. I thought it was her until I looked closer at the add. I thought... hmm she cut a bit of her off.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
