Is this for the DVD? I saw this several months ago. Charming movie, beautifully filmed, and Cumming is great in a role very different from what you expect.

I saw Sweet Land when it was screened at the Stony Brook Film Festival last July- it was a wonderful, completely absorbing piece about an immigrant mail-order bride's experience as a stuggling midwest farmer's wife in a not-so welcoming community. Alan Cumming, in a supporting role, played a quirky (no surprise there!) friend of this couple- he was a husband and father with lots of children. The movie's cinematography was gorgeous, and the story both charming and believable. I highly recommend it- I didn't know it was available on DVD.
