This is very exciting...I was already excited about seeing this overlooked show, especially with the amazing Lenny Wolpe as the Baker, but now that Alice is in it, I can't be more thrilled!!! Alice will sing the "you know what" out of Gift's of Love and Meadowlark!!!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT???

Daisy, you better get your butt to NJ for this, I'm am NOT about to stalk Alice solito.

Papermill is so close to me!!
Well the way I drive anyway...

And F-everybody's-I: Papermill has student rush tickets. I don't know if that's really what I should call them, but on the day of - I think - ANY performance, you can just go and buy any remaining house seat for $15. You just need to show your student ID, but it's good for ANY house seat...when my friend and I went to see BABY, we sat second row...for $15...HOT.

Andrew, tonight isn't about you! It isn't even about me!!! - [FD]

This was my first cast album addiction--I listened to Patti and Paul (on vinyl--kids, go ask your parents about vinyl) until the needle wore out (kids, go ask your parents about needles). I have spent many hours shuffling dream casts for this show--and Alice figured in several versions. Hooray!

I think it's about a beautiful woman who leaves her amiable older (baker) husband for a hot young stud. Score by Stephen Schwartz.

...I hate to rain on your parade, but I don't think Will Chase is in this production. I don't think so....

He was originally in talks to perform the role, but then Lennon came along. I think he'll be in San Francisco when this show is at the Papermill. I just checked the Papermill Web site. He is not listed as a performer.

Based on Pagnol's famous 1930's film of a Giono story, La Femme du Boulanger

if it follows the remake of the original movie (done some years ago)which was not a musical, ...a beautiful woman comes to marry an old baker.....but starts seeing a shrink, who falls for her, and in the end they marry.
In the movie she had special insight into people which bothered everyone.....the remake of the original movie was a flop, but I liked it......I keep thinking Demi Moore was in it or Melanie Griffith in the female lead
