As if we didn't know it already, ALL THAT CHAT is really ALL THAT CRAP.
Just get an idea of the kind of people they let join over there. A member name K-Dog is allowed to ask the most idiotic questions and put all the low down, streetz, urban commando language he wants into his posts (his latest includes the use of the word "honkey"). One can only hope and assume that this is a joke. But of course All That Crap let's it go on.
And these people claim to be the main spot for intelligent theater discussion? Time to say goodbye ATCrap!
This sort of thread doesn't make me terribly comfortable... I'm all for the theory of "Live and Let Live" which is what makes the Internet so wonderful. If you don't like another Broadway forum, skip it and join the fun here or elsewhere.
We all have the freedom of choice, and it thrills me to get all the positive feedback that I've gotten for this site - but no need to bash the others out there.
I just don't think it's right that you can't post on ATC if you have AOL. Just think how many people out there might actually have good things to say (unlike the majority on ATC) about theatre, but are not given the opportunity. Thank God for people like Rob who give us descent websites

Yes Rob is handsome and talented. Yummy combination. Ahhhhh, if I were a wee bit younger.

BroadwayLady, keep your hand off Rob!!!!! I'm still trying to convert him (to Catholicism!) and there is a big age difference between the two of you. The last time you sent me a greeting card, it was written in ancient Sanskrit!!!!! (I had to go through the bother and expense of finding a translator!)
I'm on AOL and All That Chat wouldn't let me join because of it. Does anyone know what the deal with that is?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

WSS-I think the both of us were also expressing our opinions-just as you were. Out of respect for Rob, however, I'll just use the ignore option in the future. Have a good day!
To get back to the topic, I had joined ATC I think a couple years ago. At the time, I was on aol and had no trouble joining. Shortly after that, it was announced that they no longer would accept members using aol. I'm only guessing, but perhaps it was due to some major trouble with aol. I've long since left aol due to all the trouble with it.
WSS2 has major issues, clearly illustrated in this thread. Talking about other fora, putting down fellow members who call him on it. I am sure Rob is taking note and will do something about it.
DP, how dare you make me look like Methusala. I am not that ollllllllld..........Geez.......You are really getting my bloomers in a twist........

The mere thought of getting your bloomers in a twist is so abhorrent to me that I find myself blushing. You see, all this while, I thought you were wearing Depends!
Some of the people on ATC are irritating and I hate it when they diss a lot of shows which I think should be supported. But there are also a lot of genuine theatre lovers there too who have interesting things to say. You just have to weed through it. Also I have AOL and I post there occasionally, so I don't understand the comment that they don't let you post if you have AOL.
