All shook up

Posted: 7/4/05 at 6:59pmIf all else fails when I try for Spelling Bee and Wicked I was thinking of getting some cheap tickets for all shoop up. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the show is any good? Is the dancing good? And how are the performances? I really would love to meet people afterwards so if someone could tell me how the cast is at the stagedoor to, I would really appreciate it. thanks

The cast is very, very sweet. I adore Cheyenne.

Posted: 7/4/05 at 8:42pmI hated it. In my opinion, Cheyenne Jackson can go stand with Sutton Foster on the "Most Overrated Broadway Star" dais.

Posted: 7/4/05 at 8:47pmDifferent strokes for different folks. I didn't like Cheyenne Jackson; I thought he had a little charisma and a passable singing voice.

Which is fair. But you called Suttong overrated, hence the "duck and cover."

Posted: 7/4/05 at 8:52pmLucille... I don't understand why you would call Suton an overrated Broadway star. I think that she is very talented, and she is a triple threat: dance, sing, and act... a threeat that seems to matter less now [like christina applegate]

My feelings about Sutton are for a different thread.

This show is great, leagues above most jukebox musicals. I don't consider Movin' Out one because it is totally different from the rest.
I saw All Shook Up in April along with 5 other Broadway shows [DRS, Avenue Q, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom, and All Shook Up] and it ranked #2 on favorites list from the trip.

ASU is great, I highly recommend it!
However- last Tuesday they were sold out, so you may not just be able to walk up and get a ticket last minute.
