I personally can't wait to see it. I wasn't able to get tickets during the NYMF run, and now I've found out from work that I'll be head ushering this show for at least the 1st 2 weeks of performances. So when you do go see it, be sure to say hello to the guy outside the theatre who directs you to an aisle. I'm really quite a bit nicer in person. But then, aren't we all?
Speaking of the job, I worked at the 2nd preview of MUSICAL OF MUSICALS tonight and was reminded how much I love this show. I know it's gotten a divided response from those who saw it at York, but I think it's an entertaining, well-performed series of parody, and the audience tonight generally seemed to agree. It's the same cast of 4 and has changed only a little from the original staging. I can't put a finger on what has been cut, but the production has been streamlined very well and was noticeably in better form than on the night I 1st saw it. I'd definitely put it on my "Shows To See" list, a list that is painfully small right now. Hell, I've been to LA CAGE 5 times now.
