The article says it will be the first time he has directed for the stage in London, but I didn't even know he had directed for the stage anywhere. I thought he was strictly a movie animal.
Article.

Posted: 9/8/05 at 12:32pmI believe he directed Cher et al in "Come back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" back in the 80s". I could be wrong... can't think of anything else he has done on Broadway. Although he has directed twice at Chicago Lyric Opera - both William Bolcom operas, one "McTeague" and one based on Altman's film "A Wedding".

Altman did a masterful job with the stage production of Come back to the 5 and Dime....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Finishing the Picture, which was written and produced in Chicago last year, and not Resurrection Blues Miller's last play?

Orpheum - how DARE you imply that the press could ever make a mistake!
And, of course, now I remember the 5 AND DIME. Interesting about the operas.
