OMG - a "people's choice" award based on snippets of a theatrical performance?

Posted: 7/19/09 at 10:58amHmm, not a fan. Way to "reality TV" for me. It doesn't seem fair at all to judge an entire show (especially lighting, scenery, direction...) based on a singular snipit of a performance.

Completely idiotic.
However, given the contingency of Tony voters who don't live in NY and don't see shows, this is probably how many of them actually vote. Sadly.
