Is anyone going to this American Idiot sound check tomorrow at the St. James? I got an email saying I was chosen for one of the 50 spots and wondering if any other BBWers were going.

You are lucky you get to go to the sound check....sigh...
What time is the sound check? if your plans fall through or you need someone to join you, I'll be in the city tomorrow eve...
Sorry, tuscany, the sound check is actually tomorrow morning, so you wouldn't be able to come anyway. Plus, I only put down 1 ticket. I was selfish. :)

According to their twitter, people were lined up at 3:30am! For a sound check! Probably good they aren't doing rush if that's any indication.
So much for 50 people. I'm here now and there's over 400 people. I didn't get here until 11, so I'm about 3/4 of the way back in line. 3am is a bit nuts for what's advertised as a 30 min sound check.

Was there as well, it was a GREAT taste of the show, cannot wait to see it in full tomorrow night.
For those wondering what exactly it was, it was a full performance of the opening number ("American Idiot"), and then Michael Mayer and Green Day came out and spoke to the crowd about the show how it made the journey from album to stage. All in all was about 20 minutes in total, and alot of fun. I got chills during the opening number, as AI is one of my favorite albums, and seeing it come to life with such a fantastic cast was amazing.
Congrats to the crazies for outdoing themselves!
