I was a HUGE supporter of Diana during her season on Idol. I was very excited and glad that she did as well as she did and I genuinly really like her voice. BUT... MARIA?! She girl can belt, but Maria is a legit soprano. I ahve seen no evidence that Diana has that kind of voice. Anyone heard her sing legit soprano stuff?

She's lost quite a bit of weight since Idol and has grown into a beautiful young woman. She talked in a fan club chat not to long ago about working "very hard" with a dialect coach and with a vocal coach to make sure she is prepared for the role, including the soprano parts.
The publicity shot doesn't look much like her, probably due to the wig. Here's are more recent pictures of her (obviously she won't be blonde for the role).

I am seeing her in the show next month!!! Hope she does well but I definetly have some doubts! Are there any clips of Diana singing? I can't remember her from Idol.

Um...if I ever had to sit through her doing a full role I think I'd die; couldn't stand her during American Idol and at the concert that summer it was just painful to listen to; but to each their own.

How can you tell from that picture that she lost weight? I remember I liked her though, and I didn't like Fantasia (the girl that beat her) at all.
