An A-MA-ZING Afternoon!
#0An A-MA-ZING Afternoon!
Posted: 1/30/05 at 6:58pmWell I just got back from seeing Audra McDonald in concert at Hill Auditorium at The University of Michigan. To quote her "It was A-Ma-Zing!" She did part of her new concert, part of 7 Deadly Sins, and a couple more original songs, and a fabulous song by Jonathan Larson. It was just spectacular. She was cracking jokes and it was really just a fabulous afternoon of music. If you want any more details just PM me or ask them here.

Can you name some of the specific songs she sang? I'm really curious.

Posted: 1/30/05 at 8:46pmHMMMMM.......... Sorry to say I don't really remember all the names. Except for The Christian Thing To Do, My Book, and she did Stars and the Moon for one encore and Feels Like Home for another one. Sorry. There's so much running through my head right now. If I remember anymore I'll post them.

yay Michigan! isn't the newly renovated Hill Auditorium GORGEOUS?
my mom mentioned that there were extra tickets for tonight and almost went, but she just went to the Folk Festival last night so she decided to pass.
Glad you had fun!

yes sweetie-It was Hosing the Furniture. I was having a brain fart and could not remember the name of it. It is such a cool piece.
EDIT: Etheb- yes Hill is beautiful and she sang her last song unamplified just to show off the breat acoustics and power of the building.
