"My writing here was under copyright and it is illegal to reprint it without permission"
Is this always the case in a message board situation, or is it something you need to arrange individually? I thought board postings were considered public domain unless accompanied by a copyright statement.

They would be, DG, unless and until notice is given that a copyright is claimed, even by pseudonym.
And mine was there at the end of the ODIOUS comparison.

Posted: 2/27/06 at 8:22amI don't get the problem. The person posting says they didn't write it AND they have cut and pasted the whole thing INCLUDING your copyright. They're not stealing it and passing it off as their own.

It is the taking of my words and printing/publishing them elsewhere that is the violation of the copyright law.
It does not matter if they attribute it to me. They have no lawful right to take them, as in a cut and paste.

Yesterday's performance of Piazza found Mr. Lazar in usual good voice, and some changes. He could still interact with and enjoy the stunning soccer ball a little more at the start. He has warmed up since the New Year's Eve performance, he was more alive in the opening number, more stage presence.
The hop over the bench was back in and well-executed in "Passeggiata." His little "hop note" atop the bench was beautifully sung, and his singing is excellent.
He commanded the stage in "Il Mondo Era Vuoto" and threw himself into "Aiutami" fully, taking what I thought was a lot more risk of vulnerability, well-done. The brother-brother interactions are much more developed throughout, still could go a splice further. His acting was fully vested in "Octet" and this added a lot to what never ceases to be a fascinating number.
Still no "prayer hands to the lips" or intitial reaction to the sight of Clara in her wedding dress, which I kind of miss. Number that could use the most work is "Say it Somehow" in the blending of the two voices, but I do not think this is attributable to Mr. Lazar, whom I believe worked hard to match Katie Clark's voice.

Melancholy is not a bad thing.
Emotions have a natural rhythm.
Sentiment and sensitivity flow of a pattern.
