...I hate to bring it up again, but the question that has been on most people's minds since last summer has been gnawing at me lately: What in the world happened with the Pre-Broadway "Little Shop of Horrors"??!! I saw the South Florida production twice and the current Broadway incarnation once and (I, myself) prefer the former hands-down. Now, my post isn't really aimed at comparing the two different companies/productions (yet again); I just really would *love* to know exactly what happened in Miami! Everyone involved really won't talk about the situation, which leads nosey people like myself to believe that it wasn't pretty. And Alice Ripley herself refers to the show as "Little Shop of Humiliations". I'm not really expecting any definite answers, but I would love to hear you guys'/gals' views on the matter. (And, of course, if anyone *does* have pretty positive info. on the events, I'd love the gossip...err...info.!)
Thanks for entertaining my post. ![]()

Posted: 12/30/03 at 7:28pmI joined this board right at the end of Horsey's time here. In fact someone accused me of being Horsey when I made my first post. She was not popular, huh?

I have to completely disagree with that. Just my opinion, but most of the FL cast was amazing. Alice Ripley achieved such depths; depths Kerry Butler didn't even bother to touch on. I would have chosen Alice's Audrey any day. --- Again, just my opinion. ![]()
