Has anyone seen Andrew as Cable in South Pacific? Dumb question, I know, but has he permanently replaced Matt Morrison?

On 3/23 I saw Andrew Samonsky as Lt. Cable and I thought he gave a great performance and his voice is among the most beautiful I have ever heard.

It's temporary.

I'm a huge fan of Andrew's and wish I could get to NYC see him in the role! I'm sure he's doing great!

I saw Andrew go on as Lt. Cable on Easter sunday. He was WONDERFUL. I have to agree with Steve2 about his voice...GORGEOUS, and a much better fit for Cable than Morrison.

I saw him last night. I didn't even know Matthew Morrison left the show. Samonsky was great though and I have no complaints. Wonderful voice and great acting.

I was lucky enough to see Andrew on the tour of "On the Record," (which no one but me seemed to like). His voice soars and he has true stage presence. Any lucky enough to see him in South Pacific should be grateful.

Matt Morrison is out in LA filming a television pilot for Fox (opposite Lea Michele, funnily enough.)

He'll be back next month to fulfill the remainder of his contract through January 4th.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
