Going back to Andy's injury and the possibility he might take a leave of absence after the Tonys if he doesn't win:
Someone on Twitter asked Andrew Call, the main Phil understudy, when he would be on next and he said possibly after awards season ends/June 8th.
Andrew's Tweet
Andy has said how much he loves the show, but without the Tony, I would completely understand him taking a break to heal. After all, it's his career on the line and he needs to be able to walk and dance. Although, I don't think he would have gone back to 8 shows a week if the show were causing permanent damage, so perhaps he'll just do 6 shows week again post-Tonys.
I'm reading too much into it, aren't I?

Considering that it's coming from someone who's actually involved with the production, I don't think you're reading too much into it. Andrew's speculation certainly carries more weight than ours does.

I will be in NY week after Tonys. Very glad I paid nearly $80 additional dollars to switch my Sat night and Mon shows - originally had GH on Mon (bought the tickets pre-injury). Figured worst case scenario Andy would have surgery after the awards and be out entirely, but if he didn't he might reduce his schedule and be more likely to perform on a Sat night. Since I will only get to see this once I'm really hoping he's in! Though first and foremost he needs to do what's best for him.
