Somethingwicked, Leslie did NOT go on "twice in a row", she went on for ONE evening show on a two show day. Orfeh was on during the matinee and had to call out for the evening show which made it the first time she's ever called out due to anything other than a vacation or pre-scheduled absence. Regarding the original question, Andy Karl has never covered Warner as fisher has already pointed out. As for the costumes, LK did not actually wear all of Orfeh's costumes, just some of the pieces that fit and pretty much kept them on for the whole show. She wore her own Serena clothes for the Irish/remix number.
Another thing to mention, it does seem that everyone does NOT in fact, get a chance to go on. Michelle Kitrell has been on every time Dequina Moore has been out.
Andy Karl is too valuable as Klye, so they would most likely have Noah go on for Emmett as often as possible. Kevin Parriseux has been on each time Callahan's been out, so there are NO hard and fast rules.

Posted: 6/29/07 at 2:52pmSo did Leslie do Serena and Paulette in the same show? Or did she just wear some of her Serena's costumes because maybe not all Orfeh's costumes fit her?

Posted: 6/29/07 at 3:00pmNo Alex, she only played Paulette but wore some of her own Serena costumes during the performance. All of the understudy's should have their own costumes even if they're understudying someone with Orfeh's attendance record. It seems that a show like LB wouldn't skimp on such things.

Posted: 6/29/07 at 3:14pmWhy did one of Orfeh's understudies not just go on then?

Posted: 6/29/07 at 3:20pmBecause there were no understudy costumes ready and as tiny as Orfeh is, there weren't many pieces that would fit anyone else. Leslie Kritzer came closest. I'm not sure why amber Efe didn't go on, her costumes look the most like Orfeh's of anyone on the stage. She could have simply worn her own too.

ruprecht, certain understudies have been going on consistently at this point because they're not all rehearsed.
Jerry is rehearsing all the covers in "sessions," with them going one group at a time. The ones that have been on so far are those who have been getting time in the rehearsel room.
Annaleigh Ashford in particular has said to some of the fans that this is why she hasn't even been rehearsed yet for Elle, let alone having any prospect of going on anytime soon. Becky Gulsvig, in that case, has been rehearsed with the first batch of covers.
They're just starting to now give the others time too, but with the stress of opening the show and all the hooplah that came along with it, everyone involved figured it would be easier and alot less stressful to rehearse the understudies one group at a time rather than trying to teach multiple people principle roles at the same time.
I suggest you learn the facts before you give an acerbic reply.

Posted: 6/30/07 at 12:04amSomethingwicked, are you a naturally angry person or some wannabe know it all? Which is it? You're the one who seems to need a fact checker, not me. Annaleigh and Andy have both rehearsed each of their understudy tracks many times, Ashford as Elle and Karl as Emmett, so what's with the edge and drama? If you need to be "right" about all things relating to LB in order to sleep better at night, go right ahead, it's all yours. Anything else you need to spew, talk to me in PM.

ruprecht, I was simply clarifying my point as I felt you unnecessarily expressed an angry attitude at me when there wasn't cause for one (you'd be surprised at how bolding words like you did comes across, not to mention you outright being rude during this latest post.)
As I said, I simply wanted to make clear the point I was trying to express because I felt you mis-interpreted it. I didn't mean to express the type of negative attitude toward you that I felt you did to me. I attempted to show you the respect any poster deserves, even if I didn't feel it was returned me.
