Aren't we all!?!?!?!? Better yet, let's indulge ourselves in the splendor of his magnetism as a musical theater actor, going from one failed movie-to-musical adapation to another. We need not bask in the glory of his amazing performances, for Andy Karl is unto himself a God of the ages. Pretty Woman is going to be the cherry on top of an already exuberant career!
(Actually, if I can say this, his performance in Groundhog Day definitely speaks volumes to his skill set as an actor, despite how ambitious that show was!)

Andy Karl has been a working actor for about two decades and has 10 Broadway credits, and ''Pretty Woman'' will mark his 11th. Some of the shows he did, didn't last because they didn'f find their audience (through no fault of Andy's, who earned rave reviews and award nominations). Some of the shows he did, were limited engagements. And Andy's been versatile enough to step into various shows, like ''Wicked'' or ''Saturday Night Fever,'' as a replacement; he did two yearlong stints in ''Jersey Boys.'' Along the way, he's also done Off-Broadway (i.e., ''Altar Boyz'' ) and regional theater. One of these days, it'll all line up: Andy will headline a giant box-office hit and win his Tony, and that day can't come too soon.

His career is a bit like Carolee Carmello's: Both unique talents and critically-lauded performers who have been in a lot of flop shows. (Maybe if Carolee had played Rocky and Andy had played Aimee Semple McPherson, things would have been different...)
