Angels the Musical - Laura Osnes?

Has anyone heard anything about this musical? It has Laura Osnes and Josh Young attached so it sounds like a serious project. They are releasing an Album at the end of the week and the playbill article says it's Broadway Bound.

There was an Australian documentary a few years ago, 'Angels in New York', about a failed attempt by this show's young creators to get it to Broadway:

I've seen a part of the documentary; the creators came across as likeable enough, though very naive. The venture wasn't looked upon kindly by all, perhaps with reason: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/sbs-lashed-for-documenting-broadway-bid-doomed-to-fail/news-story/0c18a462713b379670ca2d2f8887b2ce. But it's possible that the creators have got their act together now...

As for the sample songs, the singers sound good but it all sounds a bit too 80s (or something?) to me. I'm no music production expert but it sounds to me like a relatively low-budget recording created for licensing purposes, which is fine if that's what they're going for. The show's website at https://www.seraangels.com/ talks about licensing to theatres, schools and churches, so they aren't holding back the rights for the sake of a big premiere.
