I was looking atan article on Playbill, where they reported the actor/actress that would be portraying each of the main characters for when I see The Producers.
I know that besides Nathan and Matthew, that (original cast members) Gary Beach and Roger Bart will also be in the show, which is great because I think they're very talented as well.

I'm kind of disappointed that Cady Huffman won't be playiing Ulla and Playbill reports that an actress named Angie Schworer will have the role. All I know is that she was in The Rocky Horror show (which I didn't see), but that's about it. Anyone ever see her perform, and if so, can you just comment on how you think she'll be as Ulla?

She was in the original ensemble of Producers and understudied Cady Huffman. She then created Ulla in the first national tour. I saw the tour when it was in Portland, OR and I thought she was fantastic. As good as, if not better than, Cady.

hmmmmm, I remember there were two understudies for Cady when she was in the show, is that right? I saw one of them, I don't remember her name though, but I remember I wasn't that impressed with her performaance. The actress I saw didn't really have a strong voice. It's not even that I'm comparing her to Cady, I just remember that when she sang "When You've Got It...", near the end of the song ("Now Ulla belt") she just didn't have it. (my opinion only)

I saw the show in Los Angeles and thought she was wonderful.
She has great presence and great legs!

I saw Angie in LA and she is great. I do wish they would bring Cady back and have Brad perform Franz. Would make for nice ad copy..."The Original Cast is Back!"

Angie also made for a divine Roxie Hart, when she understudied the role in the CHICAGO tour

angie is wonderful ... she will be phenominal and I got to see her u/s Ulla with Nathan and Matthew ... oh yes the best part is she can really belt "when ya got it flaunt it"!

Angie did a fine job as Ulla when I saw her in the show on Tuesday. Cady was in the audience and told me she thoroughly loved seeing the show for the first time. It was a wonderful night!
